Community organisations
There are some 4,000 community-based groups in Australia, including Landcare, Coastcare and 'Friends of' groups that are strategically combating weed problems. Many undertake coordinated activities to address priority issues.
When you join a local group you receive 'hands on' experience as well as up-to-date information on prevention and control. Encourage friends and neighbours to become involved as well.

- Conservation Volunteers Australia
There are a range of potential sources of funding to assist community organisations working on local weeds issues.
